About This Place

If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Gracia in Barcelona, allow me to introduce you to a hidden gem that promises culinary delight—Maramaia. Nestled at Carrer de Vic, 25, this quaint pizza restaurant offers not just food, but an experience that encapsulates the warmth of family and community.

From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. The owner and his attentive staff create a vibe that sets Maramaia apart. They engage with guests, exchanging light-hearted banter and ensuring everyone feels welcome. As customer Evita Haritoviča noted, this interactive approach enhances the dining experience, making it memorable.

Maramaia’s menu proudly showcases its artisan pizzas, crafted with top-notch ingredients and an unwavering commitment to quality. The enthusiastic reviews from patrons like Marcos Meneses echo the sentiment that their Di Danielino pizza is, without a doubt, the best that Barcelona has to offer. The mozzarella, in particular, receives rave reviews for its rich flavor and creamy texture—an essential component that elevates each slice to new heights.

The culinary journey doesn’t stop at pizza. Each meal begins with delightful starters, such as the toasted bread topped with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil, as praised by Judy Granberry. Furthermore, the indulgent tiramisu, sourced from a nearby bakery, is a must-try to wrap up your visit. One customer, Clodagh O'Loughlin, passionately asserts that “no other pizza compares” to the offerings at Maramaia, showcasing the loyal following this family-owned establishment has cultivated.

And let’s not overlook the thoughtful touches that make your meal even more special—each guest is treated to a complimentary limoncello to cleanse the palate and enhance the experience, serving as a perfect finale to the evening.

In terms of value, Maramaia stands out as well; with meals that combine quality and affordability, you can enjoy an exquisite dine-in experience without breaking the bank. For a modest price of 12.50 euros, as indicated by Judy Granberry, you can indulge in a starter, a hearty main, and a sweet treat, all while sipping on a well-paired glass of wine.

Whether you're a local or a traveler, a trip to Carlo Maramaia's place is well worth it. Be sure to note that this cozy eatery fills quickly, so reservations are recommended. Experience the charm, flavor, and warmth of this remarkable pizzeria—your taste buds will thank you!

What a great place! Went there the first night - had pizzas and drinks, which were great! The pizza was really good! The owner and his staff made the atmosphere great - he joked around, made us laugh, talked to us and made our evening. We had a lovely time. Went there a second time as well just for the tiramisu and it was delicious! Couldn’t recommend this place more, the owner and the staff made it memorable.

What a fantastic surprise! Had gone to Saturday restaurant, and they were out of the dishes I wanted to order. So, walked one block and had this amazing meal for 12.50 euros. Starter of toasted bread with nice, ripe cut up tomatoes, basil and all. Then great great Bolognese lasagna, Tiramisu from bakery next door, same name. All included with a very good glass of wine. At the end, a limoncello!! The chef came out and asked how I liked it. Was happy I could give him a positive response. Unbelievably great.

Perfect from start to finish. We were welcomed into this cozy restaurant and the atmosphere was great. I found this place on google, close to my hotel, with good reviews. What I found was the best pizza I've ever had! I had the garlic prawns as a starter and a Di Danielino pizza as a main - the mozzarella was unbelievable too. I finished with a tiramisu and espresso. The complimentary limoncello was also very nice at the end. I would definitely recommend this place! I would recommend making a booking but we were lucky enough to be seated without one, but the place was very busy! Thank you for adding to my amazing Barcelona experience.

I found this place on Google Maps when I got to Barcelona, it was close to dinner time and I had a meeting with friends, so a pizza slice was the perfect quick choice. It was amazing! Wish I’d grabbed a few more slices!

Best pizza place in Barcelona hands down! Staff are lovely, it’s a small family owned place, and the pizza is unbelievable!! Could not recommend more- no other pizza compares. Complimentary limoncello too

The dough texture was amazing. The sauce and the cheese were delicious. At first, I thought I was not going to be able to finish the pizza, but surprisingly, it was gut friendly, light, and delicious. So I finish it on my own. The place and the attention of the chef could improve, but I'm definitely coming back. Edit: I did come back on the next day, and the pizza was still delicious.

I didn’t expect that I would be eating a pizza in BCN so delicious like I was in Italy, but it happend! Found this place randomly, but it was so worth it! The whole staff is so kind, made us feel very welcomed. The cheff was a gem too, we had a laugh with him. We had a tiramisu as well, very creamy and tasty! All recommendations for this place! Gracias!

The food was absolutely delicious! The owner was very friendly and treated us to some limoncello The pizza was prepared quickly and tasted great The only downside is that the interior is a bit worn out and could use some renovation
